CoACH mini symposium at “AIDAA 2015”

17-19 November 2015, Turin, Italy

AIDAA 2015 conference page

Innovative Training Networks and Manufacturing Technologies for Composite Structures for the Aerospace Sector: ADMACOM, CoACH and FULLCOMP European projects at Politecnico di Torino (POLITO).

This mini-symposium is aimed at the dissemination of the objectives and initial results of three European projects coordinated at POLITO.

“Advanced manufacturing routes for metal/composite components for aerospace” (ADMACOM) is an FP7 “Factory of the Future” project launched in 2013 to develop innovative manufacturing technologies based on advanced design of interfaces and of joining materials for aerospace components.
www.admacomproject.eu

“Advanced glasses, Composites And Ceramics for High growth Industries” (CoACH) is an H2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie European Training Network project launched in 2015. CoACH is an inter/multi-disciplinary and inter-sectorial programme including 5 academic partners and 10 private companies, from seven different European countries. CoACH will recruit 15 PhD researchers and promote international excellence in glass, ceramic and composite science and technology, modelling, design, characterization and commercialization of advanced glass, ceramic and composite based products.
www.coach-etn.eu

“Fully integrated analysis, design, manufacturing and health-monitoring of composite structures” (FULLCOMP) is an H2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie European Training Network project launched in 2015. FULLCOMP will recruit 12 PhD students who will work in an international framework to develop integrated analysis tools to improve the design of composite structures. The full spectrum of the design of composite structures will be dealt with, such as manufacturing, health-monitoring, failure, modeling, multiscale approaches, testing, prognosis, and prognostic. The FULLCOMP research activity is aimed at many engineering fields, e.g. aeronautics, automotive, mechanical, wind energy, and space.
